Bernardo is an 8-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua currently located in Irvine, California. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and recently had his dental and bloodwork completed, so he’s all ready for his forever home!

This sweet little boy might be a bit timid at first, but give him a little time and his loving personality will shine. Once he feels safe, he turns into a total cuddle bug who just wants to be by your side.

He loves his walks, rides great in the car, and can keep himself entertained for hours with squeaky toys and balls. Bernardo is great on a leash and loves every little adventure you take him on.

He’s also quite the talker when he wants you to play with him — he’ll let you know in the cutest way! Mealtime can be a little goofy at first, as he takes a bite, walks away, and comes back a few times until he’s fully comfortable.

All he needs is a patient, loving person or family to show him that he’s finally home. Once he trusts you, you’ll have a loyal, funny, and affectionate companion who will fill your days with love and laughter. Bernardo would do well in a home with another patient dog or as the only pet.
